Ammonia Recovery Case Study

Issue

We want to recover ammonia from ammonia wastewater.

Low boiling point recovery equipment that combines distillation technology and a heat pump evaporating concentrator is used to separate and recover about 0.1% of dilute and large volumes of ammonia water. This system achieves significant energy savings compared to conventional steam-heated distillation towers. Ammonia water can be recovered at about 25% and reused on-site.

Benefits of Introduction

• Running costs can be expected to be reduced by approximately 50% compared to the conventional steam heating method (steam stripping). In addition to ammonia, this method can be applied to the recovery of low boiling point materials such as alcohols.
