The multi-stage flash-type heats seawater using low-pressure steam as a heat source to generate large volumes of fresh water with a small amount of heat in the most efficient manner. It can generate from 100 to 1,000 tonnes of water per day, and is equipped on passenger vessels and fishing vessels that require large amounts of fresh water.
